Description
Birds Watching was inspired by the five years I spent in Costa Rica, seeing colorful birds from my front porch. Often I’d be sitting on the porch when, all of a sudden, beautiful birds appeared, but only for a short moment. If I didn’t already have my camera, I’d run to my room to find it, in hopes of returning in time to capture a photo. Or I’d find my housemate’s binoculars to try to get a closer look. Now that I’m back in Florida, I am noticing many beautiful birds here as well. This painting features my housemate’s binoculars surrounded by beautiful birds from around the world. Not only do we love to watch them, but they’re up there watching us too. From left to right: Eastern Bluebird, Green-naped Lorikeet, Eagle Owl, Keel-billed Toucan, Green Headed Tanager.
